Why a 3 day gut reset?
In just 3 days your gut microbiome can have a makeover and reset your gut and digestion! This will increase our ability to ward off viruses, bacteria and negative people. A healthy gut microbiome enhances the removal of toxins, and sludge from our system improving lymphatic flow which is directly related to our immune health. Want to decrease inflammation, belly bloat, discomfort and some weight? This may be the missing link in all of the methods you have tried in the past. You can eat as clean as you want, but if the pipes (intestinal lining) aren’t clean and your microbiome is out of balance, you will not see the results. Give your digestive system a break so it can focus on resting, repairing and restoring during this 3 day cleanse!
What will I eat?
All the nutrient goodness! The goal here is to feed your body nutrients for healing and repair without overtaxing the system. You will be having oatmeal or kitchari for breakfast and kitchari for lunch and dinner. A simple easily digestible diet allows the body to focus as much energy to the gut as possible for efficient cleaning and repair.
Kitchari is an Ayurvedic staple. It is an easy one pot meal with gut healing spices to nourish your body from the inside out. It balances our doshas (bioenergetics constitutions) while detoxifying and keep our cells youthful.
But I am still hungry!
If you are feeling extreme hunger pangs and feeling lightheaded then add more volume to each meal. Ideally we want to eat consciously to where we are satisfied but not overly stuffed. Our eyes and minds are larger than our stomachs. Our stomach likes 1/3 food, 1/3 water and 1/3 air. Eating away from our devices, chewing our food to completion and placing our utensil down in between bites is a great way to monitor the speed and experience of food. If you have blood sugar deficiencies or need another snack during the day, then a berry or stewed apple snack may be necessary and that is totally fine!

If cooking is not your jam this may be a good way to pick up a new skill. If not and you are in my local area, I can cook your kitchari for you with some love and care for an additional fee.
Can I exercise while doing the reset?
Yes, please do! Exercise is important for keeping the lymphatic system moving and eliminating toxins that build up. With that being said, I wouldn’t recommend running a marathon, competing in a Crossfit competition or doing 2 a days. Stick with light training, yoga, walking, biking, swimming. Again, we want to direct our energy to healing and repairing your gut and not on extraneous workouts.
What else can I do while on the reset?
Live your life! Just because you have altered one aspect of your life doesn’t mean you have to sit in your closet and be a hermit. This is a great time to treat yourself to reflect and indulge on some self care. You have freed up a TON of energy that is normally occupied by thinking of what to eat, regretting what you just ate, digesting processed and hard to digest foods, so emotions may come up as they have room to speak to you now. Journal, read, craft, Abhyanga ( Ayurvedic self oil massage to enhance well being ), pranayama ( breathing practice), get out in nature, and spend time with loved ones.
Post Reset Blues?
It is the end of day 3 and you want more? Go for it! You can safely do this cleanse for 7 days if that is appropriate for you. If you have done cleanses as such before this may be the way to go. New to the gut cleanse or a Vata type ( Ayurvedic dosha)? The 3 days is a great and effective plan. Choose your own adventure of what is right for you and your current situation. I can find cleanses for free on the internet why should I pay you?
Yes, there is TONS of information and cleanses out there and many are very good. But, you are not like everyone out there and your gut is as unique as a snowflake. To say that there is a one size fits all cleanse is kind of… silly. We will use the basic structures and wisdom of science and yoga, but cater the experience to YOU and your SPECIFIC needs. The internet knows more about us than it should, but I am pretty sure it doesn’t know your current gut microbiome state, so let’s work together!
